August was synonymous with change for Formula ETS powered by Videotron.
The team administration has been busy implementing a new project management structure, a new team structure and a new approach for new staff integration. The purpose of these changes is to increase the project's effectiveness and increase the professionalism required to participate. These changes will make the team members better employment candidates once they graduate.
On August 21st, the team took part in the penultimate round of the CADL championship at the ICAR complex. The event was marked by hard showers and lots of standing water on the track, yet the F2011 has performed well, winning its class.
From August 29th to 31st, the team took part in the university’s welcome week, where nearly 1,000 new engineering students attended the event. Team Formula ETS took the opportunity to recruit new members in various school programs.
On September 1st, the team was invited to exhibit the F2011 at the Forces Avenir Golf Classic. Formula ETS powered by Videotron has won the Avenir Projet award in the Science and technology applications category in November 2010 for their efforts to promote science, engineering and the automotive industry among young people of all ages during visits in schools of the Montreal area. The Golf Classic was held at the Saint-Raphael golf club in Ile-Bizard. 300 business representatives attended the event.
The team will conclude its competitive season on October 1 with the Toronto Shootout, where Formula ETS powered by Videotron will attempt to win his third consecutive title.
