The team showed up at the track at 6:30 for the second day of competition. Today’s schedule: the design cost and marketing events.
At 7:00 am, the drivers went to the mandatory driver’s meeting while the rest of the team got prepared for the day’s events. At 9:30 am, Nicolas Parent and Justin Fontolliet went to the cost event where they defended the team’s choices in terms of fabrication techniques and cost management. At 10:00 am, the rest of the team joined them for the design event. Even if Formula North is a new competition, the judges in the design event were very knowledgeable and up to our expectations. For the rest of the morning, the team set up the car for testing in the afternoon.
After lunch the team took the car to the test track to work on the engine’s calibration for Sunday’s endurance race. Parameters were changed to improve driveability and fuel economy.
At 3:10 pm, Justin Fontolliet took part in the marketing event, he presented a business plan to a panel of judges acting as potential investors. The presentation was a success and ETS was chosen as one of the four finalists for this event.
The team left the site at 8:30 PM, the results of today’s events will be known tomorrow.
